Although JB Bounce is responsible for the supply and general maintenance of the equipment, the hirer is responsible for the operation and supervision of users. For your information, safety and enjoyment the hirer should carry out the instructions below:

 

  • Ensure the users are admitted to the unit in a controlled and safe manner.
  • Do not allow any persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol to use or supervise the use of the equipment.
  • Ensure the users remove footwear and any other hard, sharp or dangerous objects including buckles, pens, purses, badges etc.glasses should also be removed.
  • Do not allow users to consume food or drink, or chew gum on the unit.
  • Do not allow users to obstruct the entrance or exit to the unit.
  • Do not allow users to climb or hang off the walls of the unit.
  • Do not switch the blower on and off during its use.
  • Do not allow users who do not conform to the height or age restrictions to use the unit.
  • Keep users off the unit when it is being inflated/deflated. Deflate the unit when not in use.
  • If the unit becomes wet or slippery ensure it is thoroughly dried with a towel before recommencing use.
  • Do not use if the wind speed exceeds 24mph
  • Ensure that the unit is not overloaded with users. Larger more boisterous users should be separated from the smaller ones. The number of users at any one time should be limited to allow each user enough room to play safely.
  • Adults are not permitted on units hired for children.

You should not use the equipment if you have any of the following conditions; 

Current or previous injury to the back or neck, pregnancy, any respiratory conditions including but not limited to asthma or bronchitis, chronic knee or joint conditions, any heart or circulatory conditions.

Supervision must be carried out at all times by a responsible adult-aged 18 years or over who is capable of exerting authority over the users. Activity on the unit should be watched constantly. Use a whistle or other signal and take action at the first sign of any misbehavior. Rough play should not be allowed.

 

 

Terms and Conditions of the Attraction Hire Agreement

 

  1. The owner means JB Bounce of Duleek Co Meath
  2. The hirer means the customer referred to overleaf, though when the hirer is more than one person all obligations under this contract are joint and several obligations.
  3. The equipment means the unit(s) hired by the owner to the hirer.
  4. The unit(s) mean(s) the attraction device(s) hires as part of the equipment.

 

IT IS HEREBY AGREED as follows:
General

 

  1. The owner hereby hires to the hirer, the equipment set out on the face of this document upon and subject to the Terms and Conditions hereafter appearing.
  2. This agreement is however made on the understanding that the hirer shall operate the equipment in accordance with the Attraction Hire Agreement, including terms and conditions & safety instructions.
  3. For overnight hiring’s it is the hirers responsibility to make sure the equipment is packed away properly and stored overnight in securely locked premises.
  4. The hiring of the equipment will commence on the date of the engagement as shown overleaf.
  5. At the end of the hiring, the hirer shall be responsible for leaving the equipment in a clean and tidy condition. Otherwise the owner shall be at liberty to make an additional charge for cleaning.
  6. The equipment shall at all times remain the property of the owner. The hirer during the continuance of the hiring shall not sell of offer the sale, or otherwise deal with or part with the possession of the equipment.
  7. The owner shall maintain public liability insurance, a copy of which will be provided upon request.
  8. The owner shall insist the hirer upon the reasonable request of the hirer in regard to the installation or answering questions regarding the operation of the equipment; save that the operation, supervision during use and general safety of the equipment under the hiring shall remain the responsibility of the hirer. Although the owner will use all reasonable endeavors to discharge its obligations under this agreement in a prompt and efficient manner, it does not accept responsibility for any failure caused by circumstances beyond its control.

 

Limitation or Liability

 

  1. In the event of the equipment or any part of thereof being rendered unfit for use for which it has been hired, the owner shall not be liable to the hirer for any resulting damage whatsoever.
  2.  The owner cannot accept responsibility for any items or property lost or damaged when using the equipment.

 

Indemnity

  1. The hirer shall be solely responsible for and hold the owner fully indemnified against all demands, liabilities, losses, damages, proceedings, costs and expenses which are bought against or incurred by the owner as a result of any act or omission involving the equipment or the use of the equipment under the hiring (other than any personal injury resulting from the negligence of the owner, its employees or agents) and the hirer shall also indemnify the owner for destruction of or cost of repair of the equipment caused by misuse or loss, through theft or otherwise of the equipment (or any part) whilst in the hirers possession.
